The celtrolnor is smart enough to shut off write caching automatically if the battery is low and turn it back on when the battery is charged back up. There is an spot for a second PSU. Hard drive celtrolnor is hot pluggable. Comes with rack mounting hardware that the server can sit on. Cons: Does not come with a DVD drive. You’ll need HP part 481043-B21 (DVD-RW) or 481041-B21 (plain DVD). Or you can just plug in an external USB DVD drive to get things installed initially. Other Thoughts: Remember that you must buy hard drives for this server. Either direct HP parts or you can buy the _trays_ and the _hard drives_ separately and assemble them yourself. If you want RAID 6 or 6+0, you’ll need to buy the license 516471-B21 from HP.I made sure the hotswap worked for the hard drives by pulling out one of the drives in my RAID array. When I put it back in, the array went into an automatic rebuild mode to get that drive back up to speed.Note that the server does not come with a NEMA 5-15 AC plug because they assume your rack has a C13 socket strip. I do not, so I just used another “regular” power cord I had laying around to plug in to my battery backups.Oh, the hot swap hard drive tray caddies are HP part 373211-001.
